Snow can slow a flight, and you want your trip home to stay calm.

This guide uses the airport’s own pages for the times, and adds a first-night plan for snowy arrivals.

Choose the airport after a late landing or in winter. Choose Sapporo if you land with time to spare. Our first night near New Chitose guide explains the rule.
Snow slows trains, buses and flights. Add buffer time, avoid tight same-day connections and pick a hotel close to the station or inside the airport.
Read winter flight cancellation buffers and the fly-in fly-out guide for arrival and departure planning.
Choose the shortest route to the first bed, even if it is not your final base. A calm first night helps jet lag, and the second day can carry the longer transfer.
