Itinerary travel-load check

See how much of each day is left once trains, flights and hotel changes are in.

Your trip and your day

Enter times in Japan time, one hour ahead of Malaysia. Without a start time, day 1 and the last day are counted as full days.

Travel legs

Add each ride, flight or drive that takes a real chunk of the day, with the shortest and longest time you found. Tick the box when you move hotel that day.

What to do with your result

Your result appears under the planner as soon as you press the button. Send it to us on WhatsApp with the lead code and we check it against live fares, room rules and timetables for your dates.

How it works

An itinerary can look relaxed on paper and still leave you in trains for most of the trip. The checker gives each day a time budget, so you can see where the pressure is.

How each day is worked out

Free time = hours you are out − travel − hotel-change buffer.

  • You set the hours you are out each day. If you add the time you start the day, day 1 begins at your arrival time and the last day ends at your departure time.
  • Each travel leg on that day is subtracted, using the longest time you entered.
  • If you change hotel on that leg, your buffer is subtracted too.
  • What is left is compared with the free time you want each day. A day under that line is tight. A day below zero is overpacked.

Enter times in Japan time, which runs one hour ahead of Malaysia.

What to do with a red day

The result suggests three fixes when a day is tight or overpacked: move or drop a hotel change, add a night where two long legs land on the same day, or swap the longest leg for a shorter one. Our guide to a Hokkaido itinerary with fewer hotel changes shows the first fix in practice.

Ranges and unknowns

When you give a range, the checker plans for the long end and marks the day. A leg with no time at all is left out and listed, because an empty leg is not a zero-hour leg.

An example

A seven-day trip with a long ride and a hotel change on day three looks fine until the buffer goes in. With the hours you set for checking out and in, that day drops below your free-time line and turns tight. Moving the change to day four, which has no long ride, clears it.

What it cannot promise

Timetables change and delays happen. The checker treats every tight connection as a risk, and so do we. Send your day plan on WhatsApp and we check each connection, transfer and check-in time against your exact dates.
