Arrive in Tokyo, leave from Osaka
You want to see Tokyo and Kansai without a day spent travelling back to where you started.
You are looking at flights and unsure which Japanese airport should be your first stop.
This page compiles the Japanese airports most Malaysian travellers use, with what each is best for and the official ride times we could verify. It does not list airline schedules, because they change by season. Use it to shortlist an arrival airport, then confirm flights on the airline’s own site.
We used the official pages of Japan’s tourism board and the railway operators for every ride time. Where an operator’s figure was not available to us, the cell says so instead of guessing. Airline schedules and fares are not included, and we do not state which routes fly direct, because that changes. Last checked: 20 October 2026.
