What to send us for a Hokkaido quote

You are ready to ask for a Hokkaido plan and want to send the right details first.

Send us seven things: your travel month, the number of nights, who is travelling and their ages, where you fly from, mobility and food needs, a rough wish list and your budget range. One WhatsApp message with these is enough for us to start.

1. When do you travel?

Give a month, or a range if you are flexible. Hokkaido changes sharply by season. Blossom comes in the second half of May, summers are cooler and less humid with lavender, autumn is short, and winter brings powder snow to Niseko, Rusutsu and Furano 1.

Lavender blooms from late June, peaks in mid-July in Furano and late varieties last until early August 2. The month decides the route, the trains and the clothing.

2. How many nights?

Tell us the nights in Hokkaido, and whether you add Tokyo or another region. If the trip is long, say whether you prefer one hotel or several. Our Hokkaido page shows typical shapes.

3. Who is travelling?

List each person’s age, and note children, teenagers and elders. Include any mobility limit, such as a slow walker, a stroller or a wheelchair. Send health needs we should plan around.

4. Where do you fly from?

Tell us if you fly from KLIA, KLIA2, Penang, Kota Kinabalu or Kuching, and your preferred dates if booked. We check routing into New Chitose Airport and the other airport choices.

5. What are your food needs?

Say if you need Muslim-friendly, vegetarian or allergy-safe meals. Muslim-friendly restaurants, prayer spaces and hotel facilities in Japan are concentrated in major cities, and mirin and cooking sake appear in everyday dishes 3. We plan rural days with packed meals where needed.

6. What do you want to see?

A rough wish list is enough: flowers, animals, onsen, snow, food, a city or a slow farm day. Mention what you have already seen on other trips.

7. What is your budget range?

Give a ringgit range or tell us what you want to keep low. Say if you want a rail pass, a rental car or a private driver. We compare these with the Hokkaido rail versus car versus tour guide.

What does the message look like?

Copy this and fill what you know.

If you hold a package quote, send it as well, and read auditing a Hokkaido package itinerary. For a general version of this list, see what to send for an accurate Japan quote.

Questions travellers ask

What is the most important detail for a Hokkaido quote?

Your travel month. Hokkaido changes sharply by season: blossom comes in the second half of May, summers are cooler with lavender, autumn is short, and winter brings powder snow. The month decides the route, the trains and the clothing, so we ask for it first.

Do I need to know exactly what I want to see?

No. A rough wish list is enough, such as flowers, animals, onsen, snow, food or a city. Add who is travelling and how much walking suits them. We shape the route from that and show you the options.

What should I tell you about my family?

Send ages, any mobility limits, health or diet needs and how early you like to start. Tell us if you need Muslim-friendly or vegetarian meals, since Muslim-friendly options cluster in big cities. This lets us set a pace that suits everyone.

Can I send the details in one WhatsApp message?

Yes. Use the template below and paste your answers. Photos of a package quote or a flight itinerary help too. We reply with a base, a rail plan and a rough ringgit range, and ask only for what is missing.
